Enchantment
Audio-visual work combining drawing, moving image and original sound composition, created as filmmaker, visual artist and composer. Supported by Arts Council England, the work was screened at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and later presented through an independently produced outdoor screening in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The project brought together hand-drawn imagery, moving image and sound within an interdisciplinary creative practice spanning visual art, film and composition.
Closer (dir. Tina Gharavi)
Original music and sound design for the award-winning documentary Closer. The film received the Czech Radio Award at the Prague One World Film Festival, where the jury specifically recognised its use of sound and music.
The Refrigerator
Arts Council England-supported interdisciplinary performance project produced by Forma Arts and Media. Combining electronic music, moving image and live performance, the project was presented at Tyneside Cinema and developed through extensive artistic collaboration. Nicola's role included artistic direction, live electronic music performance, project development and fundraising.
